Eagles News · Olivet to Host “Eagle Extravaganza” Saturday

The Eagle Extravaganza, featuring three separate spring sports tournaments, will be held at Olivet High School on Saturday, May 12.

The inaugural event includes a six-team varsity softball tourney, a four-team varsity baseball bracket and a four-team varsity girls’ soccer competition.

The softball games will be played on both the OHS and Olivet College fields starting at 9:00 AM.  Olivet, Jonesville and Clawson are in the OHS pool, while Parma Western, Homer and Laingsburg are in the OC pool.  The host Eagles will play Jonesville at 9:00 AM and Clawson at approximately 1:00 PM.  The consolation games are scheduled for 3:00 PM, with the championship game taking place around 5:00 PM on the OHS diamond.

The baseball tourney opens with Olivet playing Laingsburg at 10:00 AM, followed by Jonesville vs. Schoolcraft around 12:00 noon.  The consolation and championship games are scheduled for approximately 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM, respectively.

As for the girls’ soccer matches, Olivet takes on Jonesville at 10:00 AM and St. Johns tangles with Delton Kellogg at 11:30 AM.  The consolation match is slated for 1:00 PM, followed by the title game at 2:30 PM.

Admission for the event is $5 per person, which covers games played at both OHS and OC.  No league, staff or student passes will be accepted.
